Bio

David, a Louisiana-licensed attorney based in Alexandria, LA, handles mediations statewide. Throughout his career, he has been the responsible attorney for thousands of contested matters in state and federal courts. David has attended numerous mediations, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. When he announced his retirement from litigation, both plaintiff and defense attorneys with whom he had previously litigated requested that he mediate their cases. To further hone his skills, David completed the 40-hour mediation program taught by Bobby Harges, a professor at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.

After graduating from law school in 1986, David practiced at Provosty, Sadler, deLaunay, Fiorenza & Sobel for 30 years. He became the firm's first new named partner since 1969 and served as firm president for nine years. In 2016, he joined Faircloth Melton Sobel & Bash, LLC as a named partner and practiced there until retiring from active litigation in 2024. In January 2025, David was appointed as an Adjunct Faculty member at Tulane University School of Law, where he instructs students in Trial Advocacy.

David's litigation practice primarily focused on professional liability and malpractice claims against physicians of all specialties, hospitals, nursing homes, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare providers, as well as attorneys, accountants, and architects. Additionally, he has mediated or tried cases involving premises liability, land expropriation, motor vehicle accidents, and products liability.
